Trivet in felt

A decorative felt trivet with cut-out ”stones“ tied with cotton thread.

How to do it
1 Cut a small random stone shape from 5mm acrylic felt. Cut about 30-40 rounded ”stones” out of felt in other colours.
Cut rounded edges so that the felt resembles flat stones.
2 Arrange the stones to fit along the edge and match the colours. Use a threaded needle to stich into the front and back, then tie a knot in the front. The trivet can withstand normal use but not very hot grill pans or frying pans.
