How to embroider using flat stitches
#v16745
Flat stitches are good for filling smaller surfaces, which could use some volume – e.g. letters. You can sew them with both straight and slanting stitches – but be careful to close the stitches. For narrower or wider stitches, move the needle in or out only slightly to make the transition smooth. The thread must cover the fabric – both on the right and reverse side.
