Accessories from shrink plastic sheets

Make your own brooches and key rings out of shrink plastic sheets. Colour motifs with coloured pencils, cut them out and shrink them in the oven.

How to do it
1 Print the idea’s corresponding PDF and colour the motifs with coloured pencils.
2 Cut out the motif and make a hole – minimum 3 mm if the figure is to be used for a key ring.
3 Place the figure on a baking tray lined with baking paper in a conventional oven at 170 degrees and watch it shrink and curl up after a few seconds. When the figure straightens up again, it is finished.
4 Attach the figure to the key ring by opening the ring, then thread it through the figure’s hole and squeeze it back together. Use the transparent shrink plastic sheet for key rings, as the motif can then be seen from both sides.
5 Or attach the figure to a brooch by glueing the parts together using Clear Multi Glue. Use the white shrink plastic sheet for brooches, as the brooch pin can be seen through the transparent shrink plastic sheet figure.
