A braided Macramé Bracelet with an adjustable Knot and Beads
#v13474
This braided bracelet is made from macramé cords in two thicknesses with attached beads. The bracelet is finished with an adjustable knot made from a seperate braided section, attached onto the bracelet.

How to do it

1. Cut a 45cm piece of 4mm macramé cord and a 145cm piece of 1mm macramé cord. Attach the thick macramé cord onto a clip board and braid with the thin macramé cord as shown in the picture.

2. Lightly melt the cord ends on the thick macramé cord using a lighter, preventing them from fraying. This also makes it easier to thread the beads onto the cord.

4. Fasten the ends of the thin macramé cord by passing a needle through the nearest bead and then down into the thick macramé cord.

5. Arrange the two ends of the thick macramé cord parallel and braid around them with a new piece of thin macramé cord.

6. Cut off both ends of the thin macramé cord and melt them. Push them onto the back of the of the braided section. NB: Don't experiment with fastening the thin ends into the thick macramé cord as this will prevent the adjustable fastening from working.
