Vase and bowl made from papier-mâché

Make your own vase and bowl out of papier-mâché and paint them with craft paint. These pieces have a homemade, 'random' look that fits perfectly with current interior design trends. This makes this activity interesting to older children, who will find it easy to make successful pieces they like.

How to do it
Papier-mâché bowl 
Inflate a balloon to 13 cm in diameter and tie a knot in the balloon.

Take half of your papier-mâché and mix it with water as indicated on the packaging. Now place your balloon in a bowl so that it doesn't roll around when you start to apply the papier-mâché. Cover just under half of the balloon with a thick layer of papier-mâché. It's important to keep the rustic look. Finish by flattening the base so that the bowl can stand unsupported after drying. Allow the papier-mâché to dry.
