Plastic beads that change colour when exposed to sunlight. Great for teaching children about the sun’s invisible UV radiation. Use them to make jewellery and other beaded creations .
Just because we can't see ultraviolet rays doesn't mean they aren't there. With our cool UV beads, children can learn about the hidden powers of the sun. Under normal light, the beads are white and transparent, but as soon as the beads are exposed to the sun’s UV rays, they reveal a hidden pink and purple colour.
Use the beads to make necklaces and bracelets, while talking to the children about the properties of UV light, such as why we need to remember to use sunscreen and that ultraviolet rays are also present on cloudy days
