Tunisian crocheted Cushions from Fabric Yarn

The front and back of this cushion cover are made using the Tunisian crochet technique (also called Afghan crochet). Tunisian crochet is a crochet technique where the stitches are on the crochet hook like knitting. For one cushion you will need approx. 800 g fabric yarn.

How to do it
1 Us a No. 8 crochet hook. Cast on 36 stitches and make 32 rows of Tunesian crochet or alternatively until the crocheted square measures 38 x 38 cm. Crochet a row of double crochet stitches all the way around the crocheted square.
2 Crochet the two squares together on three sides with double crochet stitches and insert the cushion.
3 Finish the fourth side with double crochet stitches.
4 Cut a 5 cm piece of fabric yarn for covering a button.
5 Insert a needle threaded with fabric yarn through the middle of the cushion. Tie a covered button onto both sides of the cushion.
