How to do it
Guide step %d Measure the soy wax: 95 g for each of the 3 candles and 35 g for the flowers.
Guide step %d Melt the soy wax in a water bath or microwave. Start with the 3x95 g for the candles. A melting pot has been used here, but an old jam jar can also be used.
Guide step %d Pour the melted wax into the bowl.
Guide step %d Place the candle wicks in the bowl and hold them in place with a pencil placed across the top.
Guide step %d Allow the wax to harden. How long this takes depends on the wax and room temperature. If necessary, place in a cool place.
Guide step %d Now make the roses.
Guide step %d Melt the rest of the wax, approx. 35 g.
Guide step %d Start with the white roses. Then create different shades of colour by adding colour pigment, depending on how dark you want the roses to be. Only add small amounts of colour at a time and pour into the mould before adjusting the colour. Keep in mind that the colour is lighter when dry.
Guide step %d Allow the roses to dry completely in the mould before removing them.
Guide step %d Once the wax in the bowl has hardened, place the roses. Heat the wax in the bowl so the roses will stick. Gently heat the wax surface of the candle until soft. A heat gun or hair dryer can be used, but be careful not to melt the wax.
Guide step %d Gently press the roses into the heated wax.
