How to do it

1 First mix the black casting compound to make the two designs with patterns. Mix 50 g of black resin casting mix with approx. 13 g of water.

4 Now mix the white casting compound. Use100 g of white resin casting mix and 35 g of water for both moulds.

6 Lift the edges of the mould with a fingertip and let the mould drop onto the table. Do this all the way around for 4-5 minutes to remove all air bubbles from the mixture.

9 Clean the mould in warm soapy water with a kitchen sponge to avoid transferring colour to future castings.

3 Pour the thick casting mixture into the mould. Start around the edge and knock out any air bubbles.

4 Once the moulds are filled, tilt the edge of the mould slightly with your finger. Repeat all the way around for around 3-5 minutes.

3 Tilt the moulds slightly at an angle, such as against the edge of the sanding sponge. Pour the white casting compound into one half.

4 Carefully lay the mould flat and pour the black casting compound into the other half. Knock out any air bubbles before the mixture hardens.

5 Pour the black casting compound into the other half of the mould and blend it slightly with the white one using the stirrer. Make sure to blend it all the way to the bottom of the mould, which will be the top side.

6 Allow the dishes to set for 40-60 minutes. They are completely hard after 24 hours. Afterwards, carefully remove them from the mould.

2 Pour the two mixtures together. Pour a thin stream of the black mixture into the white mixture in a spiral pattern.
