Paint-by-number illustrations
#v17033
Create these wonderful pictures using the paint-by-number technique. Each work is coloured with illustration markers, which makes it possible to combine colours and to shade. The finished works of art are mounted on black cardboard to make the design stand out even more.

How to do it

1 You might want to make a colour chart before you start drawing with the markers.
First colour the square with one layer.
First colour the square with one layer.

3 Write the marker number where there is one layer. Write the number again with a plus (+) after it where there are multiple layers. Repeat this for all colours.

5 Make another colour chart for the colour combinations. Start by colouring two thirds of the square from left to right (in this example, colour 51 is used).

6 Now take the second colour, which is 105 in this example, and shade two thirds of the square from the middle to the right.

7 Write the marker number for this colour (51 in this example). Then write 51+105 for the colour combination that results when the two colours are combined. The last colour is 105. The guide contains mixed colours, such as 51+105.
