Nosy elves from papier-mâché pulp

1 Mix papier-mâché pulp with water in a 1:3 ratio.

2 Cover the papier-mâché cone with the papier-mâché pulp by squeezing it all around the cone.

3 Press into the pulp to make an edge where you want the hat to start.

4 Squeeze a small blob of pulp together and roll it lightly to make a round ball for the nose. Attach it onto the wet pulp by pressing it on.

5 Make texture in the wet pulp using your fingers and/or different kinds of tools. Here we have used a flower stick for adding texture to the beard. Leave to dry for 1-3 days, depending on the thickness of the pulp.

6 Dab craft paint onto the nosy elf with a foam stencil brush or a sponge and leave to dry.

7 Paint the nose with red craft paint using a brush.
