Macrame rainbow
#v16722

How to do it

1 Cut an 8.5 mm thick macramé rope into four different lengths: one that is 24 cm long, one that is 27 cm long, one that is 30 cm long, and one that is 33 cm long.

2 Shape the rainbow: place a ruler about 3 cm from the end of all four arcs and draw a pencil line so that the edge of the rainbow is straight.

3 Wrap the arches with macramé string. Start by laying the string double and rounded along the arch. Place the fold of the string where the wrapping ends.

4 Start by wrapping around the pencil line, making sure that 2 cm of the double string sticks out during the wrapping.

5 Finish the wrapping at the opposite pencil line. Cut 2 cm off the end of the string and thread the string through the loop.

6 Hold the wrapping and string in the loop with one hand, and pull the 2 cm at the beginning with the other.

7 Pull until the end of the cord is hidden under the wrapping and forms a neat finish. Cut the string short on the opposite side.
