Flower box made of Silk Clay® and glitter clay

Create this colourful artwork out of Silk Clay® with lots of eye-catching colours and details. Each flower is made using cutters and tools and then decorated with details in glitter clay. Finally, the flowers are glued inside the box with a slight overlap for a fantastic 3D effect.

How to do it
1 Make the flower frame out of the box. Measure 4 cm from the folding edge and cut off the flap.
2 Cut a 12.5 cm-long slit on both sides. See the instructions on the box.
3 Measure 4 cm from the ends of the slits and cut off the piece with the handle.
4 Put together the box. Fold in the short sides first.
5 Fold the long sides.
6 Fold the long sides. Bend the end pieces and fold them around the corners. Fold down the edges into the inside of the box.
7 Secure the sides with sticky base.
8 The assembled box is now ready for the flower decoration.
9 Roll out a piece of Silk Clay® to make starflowers.
10 Cut out one small and one large star.
11 Put the small star on top of the large star.
12 Decorate the centre with a small ball of glitter clay.
13 Make the tips slightly less pointed.
14 Roll five balls for the flower with five petals.
15 Roll the ends of the balls until pointed.
16 Press them flat.
17 Use the tool to create texture on the petals.
18 Attach the five petals together and decorate with a small ball of glitter clay in the middle.
19 Here you can see the finished flower.
20 Roll nine balls for the rose, three of them slightly larger than the other six.
21 Press all balls flat.
22 Roll a small ball for the centre of the flower and attach the small petals around it, staggered three at a time.
23 Attach the last three petals.
24 Roll five balls for the flower with pointed petals.
25 Roll them until the ends are pointed.
26 Press them flat with the tool.
27 Shape the leaves.
28 Create texture with the tool. Attach the petals together and decorate the centre with glitter clay.
29 Here you can see the finished flower.
30 Make different green leaves to place between the flowers in the box. Roll out a piece of Silk Clay® until thin.
31 Cut out the leaf with the cutter.
32 Shape and give texture to the leaves with the tool.
33 Squeeze together the end of the leaf. Use your imagination to create leaves with different designs.

35 Attach the flowers inside the box using sticky base.
36 Fill the box with all the beautiful flowers and leaves. Use your imagination to make all kinds of different flowers, leaves and berries.
