Christmas monster made of Foam Clay® and Silk Clay®

1 Now cover the polystyrene ball with Foam Clay®.

2 Make a tail out of Foam Clay® and attach it to the body.

3 Now make the arms and legs.

4 Attach the arms and legs to the body.

5 Use the tool to create an opening for the mouth.

6 Mix a little white and pink Silk Clay® according to the ratio shown in the picture.

7 Knead the colours together until to create a uniform pink colour.

8 Shape the pink Silk Clay® into a mouth that fits in the opening.

9 Press the mouth firmly against the polystyrene ball.

10 Roll a thin sausage out of pink Silk Clay®.

11 Attach the sausage around the mouth.

12 Make a tongue out of pink Silk Clay. Make a small groove in the middle with the tool.

13 Attach the tongue to one side of the mouth.

14 Make small pointy teeth out of white Silk Clay® and attach them to the mouth.

15 Roll a ball out of red Silk Clay® and attach it as the nose.

16 Roll three balls out of green Foam Clay® – one slightly larger than the other two – and attach them as eyes, with the largest one in the middle. Remove the paper from the self-adhesive eyes and press them into the green Foam Clay®.

17 Cover the bottom of the legs with green Foam Clay®.

18 Make spikes out of green Foam Clay® and attach them from the top of the back down towards the tail.

19 Make small pointy claws out of white Silk Clay® and attach them to the hands and feet.

20 Roll two sausages of the same size out of red and white Silk Clay®.

21 Twist the two sausages together.

22 Roll again to combine the two sausages into one.

23 Cut off the end and cut a piece of around 9 cm long.

24 Shape into a candy cane.

25 Shape a pipe cleaner into two circles on top of each other.

26 Combine the circles into a wreath and twist the two ends around the wreath.

27 make a small loop on the end of the pink pipe cleaner. Attach it on top of the wreath.

28 Wrap the long end of the pipe cleaner around the wreath.

29 When you reach the top, make another loop and pull the end of it behind the wreath.

30 Pull the pipe cleaner between the loops and down at the front to form a loop.

31 The finished wreath with bow should look like this.

32 Make three arches with a brown pipe cleaner as shown – the middle should be slightly higher than the others.

33 Twist the short end of the pipe cleaner between the two loops on the right.

34 Twist the long end of the pipe cleaner between the two loops on the left.

35 Twist the two ends together.

36 You can now make two antlers.

37 Fold another brown pipe cleaner in half twice.

38 Twist it all the way down so everything is twisted together.

39 Shape it into an arch that fits the monster’s head.

40 Attach the antlers by twisting the ends around the arch.

41 Press the antlers firmly around the monster’s head.

42 Thread a gold pipe cleaner with a row of beads.

43 Fold up the ends so that the beads won't fall off.

44 Wrap the pipe cleaner with beads around the antlers. Attach the wreath and sugar cane to the monster’s hands.
