Christmas Figures from Glass Bulbs, Silk Clay and Pipe Cleaners

These chubby Christmas figures have a body made from a glass bulb, covered with Vivi Gade decoupage paper. The heads are modelled from Silk Clay and pressed firmly onto the body with pipe cleaners for hair, arms, antlers, etc.

How to do it
1. 
Apply a coat of VTR glue to the glass bulb and attach decoupage paper - small pieces at a time – onto the wet glue.
When the glass bulb is covered with the small pieces of decoupage paper, apply another coat of VTR glue on top.

Model a head from Silk Clay and attach it onto the screw fitting of the light bulb.

Make eyes from two small balls of white Silk Clay and two smaller balls from black Silk Clay. Attach a black ball (pupil) onto the white ball and press the eye onto the figure's face. You may make a pixie hat from red Silk Clay.
