A Greeting Card from Natural Paper with Cross Stitches
#v13180
Vivi Gade Origami paper (the Oslo series) is attached to the greeting card made from natural paper. Holes are punched in the front cover with a Screw Punch. Mercerised cotton yarn is used for sewing a cross stitch motif onto the front cover.

How to do it

1. Place a piece of origami paper on a piece of double-sided self-adhesive foil tape and cut out a square measuring 9 x 13cm.

3. Print out the cross stitch pattern, available separately as a pdf file to this idea. Trim the pattern and attach it onto the front cover of the greeting card with masking tape. Now punch holes with a Screw Punch onto the printed pattern in the area where all crosses meet.

4. Remove the printed template. Embroider the front cover of the greeting card with cross stitches through the punched holes using mercerised cotton yarn.
