A Faux Leather Paper Wall Hanging decorated with a Pyrography Tool

Make your very own wall hangings from faux leather paper hung in poster hangers. Cut patterns in the faux leather paper and decorate it with a pyrography tool or a marker.

How to do it

Print out the PDF templates attached to this idea. Place the template on top of a piece of faux leather paper and cut through the template and the faux leather paper. You may use pieces of tape to keep the two layers together. Now fold the flaps upwards.

Burn further details in the faux leather paper with a pyrography tool or decorate with a marker. You may draw a guide-line with a pencil that can be rubbed out afterwards.

Open the poster hangers up. Tie a knot at both ends of the string and place one end in either side of the grooves on one of the back pieces of the wooden poster hanger. Place the top of the faux leather paper onto the wooden poster hanger and secure the front piece of the wooden poster hanger with wing screws. Repeat this procedure with the bottom poster hanger.
Open the poster hangers up. Tie a knot at both ends of the string and place one end in either side of the grooves on one of the back pieces of the wooden poster hanger. Place the top of the faux leather paper onto the wooden poster hanger and secure the front piece of the wooden poster hanger with wing screws.
