Shell necklace

Create your own necklace with a mix of shells, clams, freshwater pearls and rocaille seed beads. The beads are strung on to a gold-plated wire and then fitted with a gold-plated lock.

1 Attach the crimp cover and crimp bead to the end of the wire. Squeeze together the crimp bead using pliers.
2 Squeeze the crimp cover around the crimp bead.
3 Attach the o-ring and clasp.
4 Insert the head pin into the hole in the shell.
5 Bend the eye with round nose pliers.
6 Wrap the end of the head pin around the eye.
7 Cut off any excess pin using wire cutters.
8 Bend the eye to attach it to the wire.
9 Add beads and shells to create your own design. Measure your neck to determine the right length.
10 Finish with a crimp cover, crimp bead and o-ring.
