Round Tray with Marbling

Cast a round tray with beautiful marbling. Simply mix the casting powder with water, add a few drops of paint and stir. You then pour the mixture into a mould and once the tray has hardened, remove it and sand the edges with a wet sanding sponge.

1 You will need the following for this project: 150 g casting resin, 47 ml water and 5 ml craft paint.
2 Pour the water into the powder, set aside a small amount and stir well. The mixture should be thick but pourable – adjust the thickness with water if necessary.
3 Add about 5 ml of craft paint to the mixture and stir the paint down to the bottom of the mixture. Be careful not to over-stir.
4 Pour the mixture into the mould, but do not fill the mould completely (1–2 mm from the edge). Press firmly into the mould along the entire edge with the stirring stick.
5 Spread the mixture and remove any air bubbles by tilting the edge. Keep tilting the edge into the mould all the way around for 2–3 minutes.
