Rapeseed wax candles in jam jars

1   Place the rapeseed wax in a bowl and chop it in small pieces. You will need twice as much wax as the size of your chosen jar.

2   Melt the wax over a water bath at a medium temperature. The melting point of the rapeseed wax is 54-57°C.

3   Dip the end of the pre-waxed wick with the small aluminium disc in the melted wax. Place it at the bottom of a jam jar. Keep the wick in place with a clothes peg.

4   Pour the melted wax into the jam jar. The wax sets after approx. 1.5-2 hours depending on the room temperature and the size of the jar.

5   Decorate the jar with dried orange slices and cinnamon sticks, tying these around the rim of the jar with a piece of natural hemp.
