Origami Christmas decorations
#v16916
Make beautiful Christmas decorations out of white vellum paper using the paper folding art of origami. Fold doves or stars without using any glue and finish each design with a red hanging ribbon and pearlescent white bead.

How to do it

4 Fold diagonally towards the other side. Use the bone folder to make sure the folds are crisp and tight.

12 Fold along the fold lines to form a V shape across the sheet of paper. Fold the lower part towards you and then fold the top part backwards.

15 Now assemble the star without using glue. Insert the short point into the fold on the long point on one of the other folded sheets.

17 Insert the last sheet by opening the folded edges on the long tip where the short tip is to be inserted.

19 Thread 20 cm of red ribbon for hanging into a needle, add a bead and insert the needle through the fold approx. 2 cm from the end of one of the tips.

21 Pull the ribbon so that the bead is just above the tip of the star. Tie the ends together in a knot.

30 Turn so that the long side is turned up. Make the wing by folding the top layer upwards. The lines that make up the small triangle lie flat against the body.
