Maren figure out of Silk Clay®
#v17059
Have the children create their own version of Alberto Giacometti's sculpture 'Woman with Chariot'. Giacometti was a Swiss visual artist known for his long, thin sculptures. Shape the body with bonzai wire, glue it onto a base and then cover with Silk Clay®, Foam Clay® and Foam Clay Extra Large®. This creative project strengthens children’s visual and sensory skills, and helps to develop life wisdom.

How to do it

1 Cut three pieces of bonzai wire for the figure’s skeleton. Measure the pieces based on the size of the figure:
Small: 30 cm, 30 cm, 23 cm with thinner strips
Medium: 40 cm, 40 cm, 35 cm
Large: 60 cm, 60 cm, 50 cm
Take one piece of wire and twist it together in the middle to make the head and arms.

4 Take the two leg wires and twist them together onto the middle of the body. Continue until round halfway down. Now take the third piece of wire and twist it around the legs from the middle down. Remember that the wire must be longer on at least one leg, so that the figure can be attached to the base.
