Marbled Christmas baubles

Make Christmas baubles with lovely marble effects. The glass baubles are dipped in a water bath with marbling colour and after drying, each bauble is fitted with a string for hanging.

1 Pour lukewarm water into an old tub or bucket. It should be deep enough to allow the balls to be fully immersed without touching the bottom.
Shake the marbling colours and drip the colours into the water close to the surface – first red, then the transparent colour, which will separate the red colour.

2 Gently mix the colours using a flower stick or similar tool.
3 Gently dip each ball into the colour.
4 Hang the ball to dry for approx. two hours and then switch the string to the natural string provided.
5 Remove any excess colour between each dipping. Do not pour the paint into the sink, but use a paper towel or rag to dispose of it.
