How to do it
Video guide Get step-by-step instructions on how to make macramé key rings with crystals.

2 Double the two 1 m cords and thread the middle through the key ring from the back. Thread the four ends through the eyelet on the yarn to form a lark’s head knot around the key ring.

3 Find the middle of the 1.5 m cord and tie a half square knot around the four cords. Start just below the key ring. Tip: It is easier to knot if you tape the key ring to a surface.

9 Make a check/grid pattern by shifting the knots in the next round 1 – 1.5 cm downwards and make a double half hitch knot.

11 Make the third double half hitch knot after the crystal has been placed in the middle, so that the grid will shape itself around the crystal.

15 Make a 7 cm loop in the cord that you use to wrap around. Start wrapping directly under the crystal and make sure that the end of the cord is easy to hold onto.
