Have your children make their own beads out of jewellery clay to make necklaces, bracelets and a lovely headband. Shape the jewellery clay using different techniques and bake the beads in the oven. After the beads have cooled, the children can start creating unique and colourful jewellery.

19   Knead two pieces of jewellery clay for 4–5 minutes. Roll the two pieces into a flat shape and place on top of each other.

22   Knead a new piece of jewellery clay for 4–5 minutes. Roll the clay into small balls.

26   Preheat the oven for 10 minutes. Bake the beads at 120 degrees for 18 minutes and then allow to cool.

29   Seal everything with glue once you have finished decorating with beads.
