How to do it

1
Weigh the soap base. You will need 600 g soap base (100 g per finished bar of soap). We recommend you use gloves because the soap base gets hot and because the vanilla essential oil is very concentrated.

2
Wash the mould and spray it with rubbing alcohol. Leave to dry.

3
You can melt the soap base either in a water bath or in a microwave when it is cut into 3 x 3 cm chunks. Melt in the microwave at 80% power with 30 second intervals and stir between each interval to prevent heat damage.

4
Add 2 cm pink soap dye paste, 1.5 cm yellow soap dye paste and 12 drops of vanilla essential oil and approx. 1 dl rose petals into the molten soap. Stir well. NB: separate the rose buds and only use the rose petals and crumbs, adding a bit of colour to the bars of soap.

5
Pour the molten soap into the mould and remove any air bubbles from the surface by spraying with rubbing alcohol.

6
Sprinkle rose petals on top of the bars of soap when they have cooled slightly. The rose petals lose their colour if the soap is too warm. Lightly push the rose petals into the top of the bars of soap to make sure they stick.

7
Avoid mixing the rose petals in the molten soap if you do not want to change the colour of the soap. If you want a coloured soap. add 1 cm pink soap dye paste, 1.5 cm yellow soap dye paste and 2 drops of vanilla essential oil per 100 g soap base. Stir well.

8
Pour the molten soap into the mould and remove any air bubbles from the surface by spraying with rubbing alcohol. rose petals on top of the bars of soap Sprinkle rose petals on top of the bars of soap following the instructions described in step 6.

9
Don't mix soap dye paste into the molten soap if you want a different look. Add rose petals, crumbs and 2 drops of vanilla essential oil per 100 g soap base.

10
Pour the molten soap into the mould and remove any air bubbles from the surface by spraying with rubbing alcohol.

Here are two variants: On the left is a coloured bar of soap with rose petals sprinkled only on top. On the right is a bar of soap without soap dye paste and with rose petals mixed into the actual bar of soap as well as sprinkled onto the top.
