Haunted House

Create a scary haunted house for Halloween with the children. The house is built out of the cardboard box, which is printed with cut lines. Afterwards, decorate it with spiders, spider webs and creative materials.

How to do it

1 Unfold the box and cut along the lines. Cut out the window first and save the two curved parts for use later on.
2 Cut out the door.
3 Cut a small notch in the roof.
4 Cut out the hole for the chimney.
5 Cut out window. Press down along the fold marks with the end of the marker to make it easier to fold the cardboard
6 Cut out the last window and make a fold mark.
7 Cut a small notch in the roof.
8 Make a fold mark in the windows: Make an indentation in the cardboard with the end of the marker to make it easy to fold the cardboard in straight lines.
9 Open the window.
10 Use the end of the marker to make an indentation in all edges to be folded.
11 Glue the house together using sticky base.
12 Glue on the roof with sticky base.
13 Cut out all the parts that will be used to decorate the house. Decorate them with markers.

15 Attach all parts with sticky base. Open the window and attach the two curved parts.
16 Attach the frame.
17 Cut out all the parts for the roof and gable window and decorate them.
18 Start by attaching the awning.
19 Attach the windowsill.
20 Attach the bars.

22 Attach the overhang to the roof.
23 Cut out all the parts for the other end gable and decorate them.
24 Now attach all the parts.
25 Cut the parts for window no. 3 and decorate them.
26 Attach all the parts.
27 Cut out the parts for the chimney and decorate them.
28 Measure the hole and join the ends together.
29 Place the decorated parts on the outside.
30 Cut out the roof decoration in Eva Foam. Cut a total of 10 strips – five black and five orange. Now cut out a zig zag pattern in each strip.
31 Attach the self-adhesive Eva Foam to the roof, alternately orange and black.
32 Decorate the cut-out windows with markers.
33 Attach the windows and decorate the house with markers. Also attach the keyhole to the door.
34 Decorate with glitter clay.
35 Decorate the house with foam clay® and glitter clay.
36 Finally, decorate with spider webs.
37 Make spiders out of pipe cleaners and beads. Cut eight pieces of approx. 5–6 cm in length for the legs, add beads and cut a small piece of approx. 3 cm for the mouth.
38 Attach the mouth and legs to a pom-pom using sticky base.
39 Make eyes with glitter clay and a small piece of pipe cleaner.
40 Create more spiders using your imagination. Hang them up around the house with sticky base.
