How to do it

1
Print and cut out the template sheet, which you can find as a separate PDF file at the bottom of this page. Cut out all the parts for the branch with leaves. Remember to cut along the guide lines shown on the template.

2
Divide the thin floral wires into four or five parts. Glue one part of the leaf underneath the wire so that it is just covered – NOTE make sure that the stretching direction of the paper should face diagonally downwards towards the wire. Give the other part of the leaf a 1/2 turn so it stretches in the same direction. Glue the leaf section over the floral wire so that the wire is just covered.

3
Cover the stem with a strip. Stretch the strip out and glue the end of the strip just underneath the leaf.

4
Attach the small twigs to a strong floral wire with a little glue and wrap the narrow strip of crepe paper around it.

5
Continue down the stem and insert the leaves into the wrapping with a little glue – place the leaves in pairs 2 cm apart. Continue to glue around the wrapped wire.

6
Shape the leaves and branch by bending the floral wire – it will bring the branch to life.
