When you have added watercolous to the watercolour paper, you may apply water onto the watercolour paper using the following techniques; spray with a spray bottle or add water with a pipette. Alternatively use an airbrush and watercolour markers.
Use watercolour markers in several colours on watercolour paper.

Spray water onto the decorated watercolour paper using a spray bottle. Move the paper around for the colours to mix together. You may dab the excess water with slightly scrunched-up piece of paper and leave the watercolours to dry.

Spatter large drops of water onto the decorated watercolour paper by hand once dry. Large drops of water result in large spots.

Paint the watercolour paper with watercolour markers in several colours. Spray with water for the colours to mix together. Leave the paper to dry.

Paint sections in a different colour once dry and add water on top of the coloured sections using a water brush. Let the colours run and mix with the other colours. Leave the paper to dry.

Using a pipette enables you to control the colours. Drip water onto your chosen areas until the colours run.
