Cute bat costume for Halloween

1 Print the idea PDF. Fold the felt piece (90 x 90 cm) twice into a square – see the instructions in the PDF. Place the stencil on the corner with the folds. Trace the stencil but do not cut it out yet.

2 Fold the 1 m satin cord in half and place the marker in it. Hold the ribbon at the neck opening and draw an arc at the bottom from one corner to the other.

3 Cut along the lines at the top and bottom.

4 Use the stencil to draw semicircles along the bottom of the cape.

5 Cut out the semicircles.

6 Open the cape into a semicircle and cut a straight line from the neck opening down to the bottom through the top layer of felt.

7 Cut two pieces of black satin ribbon for ties. Fold in the end and secure with sticky base.

8 Also press a piece of sticky base onto the top of the ribbon so that the ribbon is firmly attached to the felt.

9 Tie a knot at the end of each ribbon.

10 Stretch out the spider web and place it around the cape. Attach it with a thin layer of glitter clay.

11 Attach the spiders to the spider web with sticky base.

12 Spread out the cape and decorate it all the way around. Allow the cape to dry for 12-24 hours.

13 While the cape is drying, you can make the headband. Start by tracing the stencils on the back of the black glitter EVA foam.

14 Cut out the parts.

15 Two of each part are required for the headband.

16 Remove the protective paper from the backing.

17 Fold the parts in the middle around the headband.

18 Make sure the points are aligned before pressing the parts together.

19 Place the parts symmetrically around the headband. The headband is now ready to wear with your costume.
