How to do it
How to do it: Apply water to the fabric surface of the mouse mat using a brush.
2 Brush Textil Silk paint onto the surface – either pure or diluted with water. Experiment with both options, causing the surface to change in colour.
3 Sprinkle silk salt onto the wet Testil Silk paint and leave to dry.
4 Brush off the silk salt.
5 Dab Textile Solid paint onto your hands or fingers and print fun designs onto the mouse mat. Leave to dry.
6 Use paint and a foam pencil brush for the eyes. Leave to dry.
7 Use a plastic lid dabbed with Textile Solid paint (on the rim) to make bubbles.
8 Add further details with textile markers.
A tip You may draw sketches of possible designs first. What can handprints and fingerprints be transformed into? The fish are made with a thumb print and the tails with fingerprints.
