Christmas stocking decorated with textile markers
#v16716
Let the children decorate their very own Christmas stockings with textile markers. They can decorate the stockings with ideas freely taken from their own imagination – or with the help of flexible templates. Decorate with rhinestones or sequins, for example, and glue on with Clear Multi Glue Gel.

How to do it

A little trick As the textile marker can rub off on the back of the stocking, we recommend placing a sheet of plastic or similar inside it first. You can use the packaging from the Christmas stocking. Cut up the sides of the plastic bag, fold it out and push the plastic flat into the sock. Now, cut off the small excess plastic at the top and push it out to the tip of the foot.

Decorate with rhinestones Use your imagination to come up with original ideas and draw and colour with a textile marker. Allow to dry. If you'd like to be able to wash the stocking, you'll need to heat-fix it with an iron (Note: The following effects will not be able to withstand machine-washing). Self-adhesive rhinestones quickly fall off when you begin to use the bag. You can glue them in place with a blob of Clear Multi Glue Gel, which keeps them firmly stuck on all surfaces.

Flexible templates Print out the templates in the PDF file and cut out the parts. Combine the different template pieces to build a Santa Claus figure, for example.

Snow effect Slightly older children can use the Snow Effect structure paste to add snow to Santa’s beard, hat, etc.

Glitter effect Add any effects with the glitter glue, which is easily pressed out into small balls on the Christmas tree – or simply rolled out flat to make a glitter effect on the surface.
