Christmas Skates in Jute

The skates are sewn in jute using cotton yarn and stuffed with Polyester Wadding. Then they are decorated with faux fur and laces with beads.

How to do it
1. Cut two pieces using the template.
2. Dab the paint on using a foam brush and let it dry.
3. Sew the boot together using cotton yarn. Leave 5cm open, stuff with doll stuffing, sew together and finish.
4. Sew on a 4cm wide faux fur edge. Use backstitches.
5. Glue on the wooden runner between the two layers. Use a glue gun.
6. Cut laces from natural twine and sew them on.
7. Decorate with a knot and glue beads onto the ends.
8. Cut a piece of natural twine, sew it onto the top of the skate’s rim for hanging, decorate with a knot and glue on a bead.
