How to do it

Felt carded wool onto the large and the small polystyrene ball. Use a felting needle and push it up and down repeatedly through the wool onto the ball.

Print and cut out the small part from the template (which is available as a separate PDF file) for this idea. Copy these onto felt and cut out two sets of wings.

NB! In order to stabilize the wings which are made from thin pieces of felt, put them together using double-sided foil tape. Remove the protective paper from the foil and place one set of wings on top. Cut out. Remove the other piece of the protective paper from the foil and attach the other set of wings.

Make a hole in the large and the small ball with a pointed object. Put the baubles together with a small piece of flower stick with glue on each end.

Cut out the small felt parts and needle felt them onto the figure. (You may use a very fine felting needle for this).

Make eyes and a mouth on the head and dots on the dress by rolling small tufts of wool into small balls. Use the felting needle to felt them onto the figure.

Wrap wool between your fingers and felt it onto the head for hair with a parting in the middle. Cut the ends of the yarn open.
