Reusable patchwork fabric gift wrapping

Wrap presents in patchwork fabric using the Japanese inspired technique (Furoshiki). Re-use the fabric for wrapping other presents or use it for another project.
Creative idea
How to do it

Place a piece of patchwork fabric on a surface with the wrong side face up. Place a gift box in the middle and gather the top corner of the fabric in the middle of the box as shown in this photo.

Now gather the bottom corner of the fabric in the middle of the box.

Gather the remaining two corners; one at a time (whilst holding the other two corners). Tie a piece of string around all four corners.

Fold the tip of the corners towards the middle and push them inside where they meet to make a flower.
