A braided Bracelet with a Toggle Clasp
A bracelet braided from 2mm macramé cord with gorgeous glass charm beads and fashion links. Fastened with a toggle clasp.
How to do it
Cut two pieces of 2mm macramé cord, one piece measuring 130cm, the other 65cm. Thread the short piece of cord through the loop of one of the toggle clasp parts and double over. Double over the long cord and use it for braiding. See the technique below.
String the beads onto the two middle cords.
Thread one of the middle cords through the loop of the other toggle clasp part and secure both ends underneath the cord.
Cut off all four ends leaving approx. 1cm, melt each end and immediately push them down with the pointed end of a pair of scissors. .
Braiding Technique: A clip board is used for starting and supporting the braiding. Attach the pieces of cord under the clip. Thread beads onto the middle piece of cord.
Follow steps B to I. Start again and switch from right to left until the desired length is reached.
Push up the beads when they are needed.
Place the middle cords parallel and braid an extra piece of cord over the two middle cords.
Cut off the ends leaving approx. 1cm.
Melt the ends one by one with a lighter and immediately push them into the braided piece with a pair of scissors (for example) so they melt together.
