Christmas star made from Paper Star Strips
SKU: v16618
Make a braided star out of six star strips – it’s much easier than it looks. The star consists of two halves and is made of half strips, that are woven together. Finally, glue the ends together and count on a little drying time.

How to do it

1
A star consists of two halves glued together at the end. Divide three star strips in the middle for each part.

2
Merge the six strips together by weaving them over and under each other, three vertically and three horizontally.

3
Glue the outer layer on all four sides.

4
Glue the outer layer on all four sides.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 as two halves are needed for a star.

5
Cut the strips lengthwise, so they are all the same length.

6
Take the outer vertical and horizontal strips and twist them one-half turn towards each other. Glue them together and hold them together with a paper clip while they dry. Repeat this step on all four tips and both halves of the star.

7
Now glue the two halves together and apply extra glue in the middle. Twist the top half a half-turn from the bottom half.

8
When the two parts are glued together, there is a point that is glued together and a point that is not glued over each other.

9
Let the star dry under pressure for 1–2 hours.

10
Assemble the glued tip with the third straight strip from the opposite star when the star is dry. Glue the three stars together to a point and attach a paper clip until dry. Then cut to a point.

Tips
Use the star as decoration on the Christmas table.
