How to do it

Wind the warp thread four times around the first block on the loom. This procedure locks it and keeps it securely in place. Use mercerized cotton yarn as a cheap alternative.

Thread the warp threads back and forth between the blocks on the loom. Finish by winding the thread four times around the last block on the loom.

Start weaving at the opposite end of where the warp thread is wound around the first block. When changing colour of the yarn, start and finish from the middle and weave towards the side to avoid yarn ends at the sides. Twist the yarn when changing colour.

Weave up and down, back and forth. Use a weaving shuttle or a yarn needle – and use your fingers, when weaving with the very thick Manga yarn. Continue to the top of the loom.
