A Wall Hanging with Tassels
#v14822
This wall hanging is woven in a multi frame using Mega acrylic yarn with wool. The loom is warped with cotton twine and tassels are made from Melbourne woollen yarn.

How to do it

1 Assemble the multi frame following the instructions on the back of the packaging steps 1-3. Weave the bottom wooden stick in between the warp threads, forming a cross. Insert a wooden stick at the top, leaving space for the yarn.

2 Now weave, tie and twist the yarn underneath and around the warp threads. Here the yarn is fed between the two layers of warp threads from one side to the other using a shuttle. The wool is pulled up slightly for a softer finish. Remember to move the wooden stick after each row.

3 Twist the yarn a bit before weaving to make it a bit tighter and pass around two warp threads. Begin and finish each colour in the middle to avoid stripes.
