This papier-mâché pulp figure is modelled flat on a plastic pocket. It is stood upright straight away and dried standing. It is painted with Plus Color craft paint and decorated with Uni Posca markers as a small soldier in a uniform.

How to do it

Soak papier-mâché pulp in water using the ratio: 3 parts pulp to 1 part water.

Model a chubby cross and a ball on a plastic pocket. Press the ball (the head) onto the cross (the body).

Stand the figure upright and push it into shape so that it is stable. Leave to dry for 2-8 days depending on the size of the figure.

Paint the figure with Plus Color craft paint and leave to dry. Draw/paint fine details with Uni Posca markers.
