A Shopping Bag decorated with Knitted Tube Flowers

Decorate a shopping bag with flowers made from knitted tube. The knitted tube is made using a knitting mill and then sewn together to make a flower.

How to do it
1 
Knit 3 x 50 cm knitted tube on a knitting mill. You will need approx. 40 cm of knitted tube for one flower measuring 6 cm in diameter. You may use different colour wool for each flower.

Pick up the four stitches at one end of the knitted tube with a yarn needle and secure.

Fold the petals as illustrated in this photo and sew them together using a new piece of the same wool used for the knitted tube.

Trim the excess knitted tube and secure the ends.

Knit approx. 6 cm knitted tube for a flower bud. Secure one end and sew the knitted tube together into a circle. Finish by securing the other end of the knitted tube inside the flower bud.
