How to do it

1. Attach a metal link onto the clip board. Thread a 25cm piece of cotton cord through the hole of the metal link. Braid around the cotton cord using another 80cm piece of cotton cord.

2. Braid a 5cm section measured from the hole of the metal link. Remove the metal link from the clip board. Now turn it and repeat the procedure at the opposite end of the metal link by threading a 25cm piece of cotton cord through the other hole of the metal link.

4. Attach an oval ring with an attached swivel clasp in one of the end caps. Attach an oval ring in the other end cap.

Another variant NB: If you want a smaller metal link in the bracelet then each of the braided sections must be longer, for instance, 7.5cm as shown here.

Another variant A double length bracelet with a metal charm: Cut a 280cm piece of cotton cord. Use this for braiding around a 75cm piece of cotton cord which is attached to a clip board. Braid 7.5cm, then thread the metal charm onto the cord and braid the last 25cm. NB: the metal charm is not meant to be threaded onto the middle of the cord.
