A Loooooong Christmas Stocking

1 Draw the template onto a double layer of felt so that the back of the stocking is lying against the fold of the felt.

2 Cut two small pieces of felt in another pattern or colour, measuring 11 x 24cm and approx. 7.5 x 24cm. Measure the crochet lace border to the same length as the pieces of felt. Cut two pieces.

3 Lay all the parts onto the open felt stocking and sew it all on either on the sewing machine or by hand.

4 Fold the edge at the top and sew.

5 Fold the Christmas stocking right side against right side and sew it together – it can easily be sewn together by hand.

6 Turn the stocking right side out and sew bells onto the lower crochet lace border.

7 Finish the stocking by sewing a loop of felt onto the upper edge for hanging.
