1.. Mark the areas on the stocking where you want to paint the stripes. Use a disappearing pen; the ink disappears after 24 hours. If you want a white color on the natural colored stocking, paint it with white paint first and let it dry. Then paint the stripes with the red paint. Apply two coats of paint.
