#v13614
A Christmas tree made from stars in different sizes, filled with polyester stuffing. The stars are made from Vivi Gade design felt (the Copenhagen series). They are glued onto a metal bar with a stand in size order, with the largest one at the bottom.

How to do it

1. Print the template, which is available as a separate PDF file for this idea. Cut out the stars from the template. Draw the largest star onto the doubled over piece of dark design felt and cut it out.

2. Draw the second largest star onto the doubled over piece of light design felt and cut it out. Continue this process until all the stars are used.

3. Sew the stars together in pairs all the way around along the edges using buttonhole stitches. Use light cotton yarn for the dark felt stars and dark cotton yarn for the light felt stars. NB: make sure to leave a small opening to fill each star with stuffing.

5. Push the stars onto the metal bar; the smallest star vertically and all the other stars horizontally (in the middle) according to size. Use a large needle to ease the procedure of pushing the stars onto the metal bar.
